Portuguese. Queer. Lover of the written word. I’m a writer currently working in the nonprofit sector as a nonprofit farm's executive assistant. But in my spare time? This blog was created to turn a creative but critical eye onto the places we so often travel through, but perhaps don't give a second thought. The cracked sidewalk says a lot about a city's infrastructure. Painted road murals tell tales of a town's culture. Even signs declaring a path part of a nature preserve are little love-letters to the world around us. Most of all, our surroundings and environment are closely intertwined with our community, and our communities are a large part of who we all are.
